SC judge: Need more women for gender-neutral judiciary

Justice B V Nagarathna, the future Chief Justice of India, advocates for more women judges in the Supreme Court. She highlights three reasons for this: credibility and legitimacy of courts, language and vocabulary of judgments, and gender-neutral administration of courts. Justice Nagarathna emphasizes that women face obstacles in career progression due to household responsibilities. She asserts that women should not be subordinate in marriage and highlights the need for a balance between work and family life.
