Description
Jai bholenath, Jai Baba Amarnath. Amarnath Temple is one of the holiest temples of Hindu.
Bramha, Vishnu, and Mahesh are the ultimate gods according to Hindu mythology (Shiva). Lord Shiva is most commonly worshipped as a 'Shivling,' which is an abstract portrayal of the god. Shivling is formed by combining two words: Shiv and linga. Lord Shiva is represented by the word 'Shiv,' whereas 'linga' or 'lingam' refers to a sign, symbol, or mark.
Amarnath is made up of two words: 'Amar' which means immortal, and 'Nath' which signifies Lord. As a result, Amarnath is translated as "immortal god."
Amarnath Cave is well-known for the government of Jammu and Kashmir's yearly Amarnath Yatra organised by Shree Amarnath Shrine Board. Amarnath cave is 14 km from Baltal route and 47 km from Pahalgam route. I started my journey through Pahalgam route as this route is much picturesque than Baltal route. Nuwan is a base camp in Pahalgam. Free stalls/ langars are there in the base camp. All varities of food are available here. Shelter in tents with beds is provided. Free bus service is also provided from base camp to Chandanwari. Trekking stars from Chandanwari through Pissu Ghati. Shehnag is the night halt place where tents are available with proper bedding at a very nominal cost. Free food stalls are always ready to serve you. There are a variety of foods available. The Sheshnag lake is a beautiful scenic place. Bhrama, Vishnu and Mahesh parvat are located just behind Sheshnag lake. The whole view is truly mesmerizing. Forward trekking started next day early morning towards Panchtarni via Mahagunas Parvat. The whole route is eyesoothing. One can take halt at Panchtarni or if there is sufficient time, can keep going towards holy cave. All the services enroute are outstanding. Poni services are also available during the trek for pilgrimage. One can opt for Helicopter services too. After Panchtarni, the Holy cave is only 2 kms. Palki services are available. One can take bath in hot water and go to the Holy Cave for worship. The whole trekking experience was so amazing that all my tiredness goes away. After taking darshan of Baba Amarnath, every devotee feels overwhelmed. There is a small market at the Amarnath Cave.
Return trekking only take a day or two depending on your speed.
People must keep rain coat in backpack for uncertain rain during the trek.
The whole trekking route is secured by Indian Army from Nuwan base camp upto Holy Cave. Salute to Indian Army for the same.
