Description
District Institute of Education and Training Ratura, Rudraprayag
District Rudraprayag is located in Garhwal division of Uttarakhand state. Government order notification number 2867/1-1111/11 R-S issued from the revenue section of Rudraprayag district, Uttar Pradesh came into existence on September 18, 1997. Rudraprayag district was created by merging Rudraprayag and Ukhimath tehsils of Chamoli district, Jakholi sub-tehsil of Tehri district and Bachansyun and Dhanpur belt of Srinagar tehsil of Pauri district.
In compliance with the recommendations of National Education Policy 1986, District Institute of Education and Training was established in each district. District Resource Center Ratuda of District Rudraprayag was established on National Highway No-58 going to Badrinath, 08 km away from Rudraprayag as per Government Order No. 0-11/XXIV(2)/2006 dated March 01-2006. In the light of the National Curriculum-2009, under the Teacher Education Program of the Government of India, the Resource Center has been set up as per the Government Order No. 0-472/XXIV-3/13/04(65)2005 dated 27 June-2013 of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET). as elevated.
Concept of District Education and Training Institute
After the National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986, there has been a lot of change in the field of teacher education. In the National Education Policy, not only the quality in education but also the quality of teacher education has been underlined. As a result of the constitutional commitment to achieve the goal of universalization of elementary education in the country, the concept of District Education and Training Institutes at the district level is very important and appropriate, timely and relevant as per the need of the present time. The main objective of these institutions is to strengthen the formal and informal education system.
